Two Questions: Is this good? Does this suck?

This is one of my favourite comic artists Lynda Barry. The story is really cool too.

This does Not Suck. I can accept many statements in the comic. If living in the moment is the answer, I will agree.

Uh-oh! I hope I can be stronger than that octopus, because he's got me...and good! As a matter of fact, I do believe that that octopus and those two questions have defined/designed my entire existence for as long as I can remember. Glug, glug, glug.... It's very dark and scary down here, and I hate the feeling of slimy tentacles with suckers. I so prefer the idea (and taste) of fried calamari! Why did i start hanging out with this guy anyway?

You must think for yourself in all situations, regardless of the forces around you, only then can you find the creative.

Ah the Barry. Today my therapist spoke to me about what we find to be enjoyable activities, qualities, characteristics of our "selves" throughout our journey and how good it feels when those are affirmed, and how the most important affirmation of what we cherish can only come from ourselves... and how easily in any relations we consider important to slip back into child/adult relating where we express or experience and immediately look about us or "up to" others to see whether they are pleased or displeased... and how that is not the way...

Think for yourself, live in the moment, and don't let others dictate your path. dirt or pavement, your road is what you make of it, good or bad, don't lose touch with the inner child. If you do, prepare yourself for a life of boredom and turmoil.

it's good. There are always going to be criticisms, mockery and enviousness even when you are on the right path, but you only have to focus on your determinations, and you will surely emerge victorious in the long run.

I found that entertaining and stinging. I am stuck between those two questions and am ready to break free.
